Polypropylene Rope for Load Securing and Tarpaulins
Polypropylene doesn't absorb water, so it won't rot, stiffen or gain weight in the rain the way natural fibre rope does. It holds a knot well, cuts cleanly with a hot knife, and costs a fraction of nylon or polyester for jobs that don't need those materials' extra stretch resistance.
Choosing a Diameter
4mm and 6mm for tarpaulin tie-downs, tent guy lines and garden use. 8mm and 10mm for general load securing and trailer work. 12mm to 16mm where you need serious hand grip and breaking strain — hauling, lifting guides and heavy site work.
Lorry Rope
Supplied on a wooden reel in 500m, and as 27m cut lengths. The standard rope for sheeting flatbeds and securing loads on open transport.
Coil Lengths
30m coils for domestic and small trade use, 220m coils for regular site work, and 500m reels for fleets and yards. To secure a tarpaulin, thread through the eyelets and tie off to fixed anchor points — pair with our bungee and shock cord for tension.
