170gsm Tarpaulins buying guide
170gsm tarpaulins are the most specialised sheets in our range. At this weight you get mesh-reinforced mono covers, Leno weave, striped market stall sheets and scaffold sheeting. All are waterproof polyethylene, made for regular use.
Which 170gsm cover fits your job?
Mono covers in green and clear
A mono cover has a 3x3 multifilament grid laminated inside the sheet. The grid helps stop a small tear from spreading. The green 170gsm mono cover suits roofs and machinery. The clear 170gsm mono cover lets about 70% of daylight through, so it works for greenhouses and work areas. Both come in nine sizes from 3m x 4m to 10m x 17m.
Monoflex Leno tarpaulin
The 170gsm Monoflex Leno tarpaulin uses a reinforced weave that resists tearing and abrasion. It comes in seven sizes from 2m x 4m to 16m x 32m, which makes it a popular farm and large-area cover.
Striped market stall tarpaulins
The striped 170gsm tarpaulin comes in red, blue or green stripes on white. It has a 12x12 weave, rope-reinforced hems and aluminium eyelets every metre. Buy single sheets or multi-packs.
Clear scaffold sheeting
170gsm clear scaffold sheeting comes on 2m x 45m and 3m x 45m rolls. Reinforcing bands run the length of the roll, and the clear sheet lets daylight reach the scaffold. It is supplied unhemmed and without eyelets.
Fixing and accessories
Secure sheets with bungee cords or cable ties. On scaffolds, pair sheeting with debris netting. Check the size guide before you order.
